Pools and Splash Pads
The City of Clarksville operates four public swimming pools and four splash pads and offers swim lessons throughout the year. In the off-season, New Providence Swimming Pool is covered with an inflated dome to create an indoor aquatic facility during the winter months. The indoor season begins each October and runs through the beginning of May. The last day of the indoor pool season will be May 5, 2019. New Providence Pool will be closed from May 6-May 24, 2019 in preparation for reopening as an outdoor pool on May 25.
The city’s outdoor pools (Beachaven, Bel-Aire, New Providence, and Swan Lake) open May 25, 2019. Normal summer operating hours will end on August 4, 2019.
However, select pools are open for an extended summer season August 5, 2019 through September 2, 2019. Beachaven, New Providence and Swan Lake pools will be open Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. New Providence Pool is also open Monday-Friday from 6:30 to 9:00 AM for fitness swim and 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM for recreational swim. Beachaven, Swan Lake and New Providence Pools will also be open on Labor Day (Sept 2) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM to conclude the season.
The city’s four splash pads (Heritage, Edith Pettus, Lettie Kendall and Dixon Parks) open May 25, 2019 and close September 2, 2019. Splash Pads are on a timer and operate from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily.
